Test Drive: 2012 BMW Z4

Say what you want about hardtop convertibles like the BMW Z4, but Graeme Fletcher is a fan for one reason and one reason only.

"Holding a button for 20 seconds sees the Z4 switch from cozy coupe to open-air roadster," he says, praising the car's two-for-one appeal.

And with a plenty-powerful 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder under the hood making 241 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque, the Z4 is a peppy ride that checks a lot of boxes despite its diminutive stature.
