The Paper Revolution: Paper Bottles in the Packaging Landscape | Tim Silbermann | TEDxBerlinSalon
NOTE FROM TED: TEDx events are independently organized by volunteers. The guidelines we give TEDx organizers are described in more detail here: http://storage.ted.com/tedx/manuals/tedx_content_guidelines.pdf
Join Tim Silbermann on a journey into the heart of innovation where the seemingly incompatible unite to forge a sustainable future. Drawing parallels from historical resistance to change, he illuminates the human propensity for status quo bias and the necessity to challenge it for progress. Through real-world examples and unwavering conviction, Tim unravels the narrative behind creating unlikely alliances in the packaging industry. From inception to market penetration, discover how a small idea can rise into a global movement, challenging conventions and reshaping paradigms. Embrace the call to action for radical innovation and open-mindedness as we navigate the path towards a greener, more sustainable tomorrow. As part of a dynamic team of young, driven, and sustainability-minded individuals, Tim is on a mission to revolutionize the packaging industry for the better. His journey began with a role at an Austrian plastic packaging giant, driven by a desire to make a tangible impact in the world. However, his current project has led him to Denmark, where he’s diving headfirst into the world of sustainable packaging.
Tim firmly believes that it’s the small everyday choices we make that contribute to significant global change. With a background in engineering and a heart for connecting and empowering people, he’s found his calling in projects like the Paper Bottle Project, where sustainability meets practicality on an everyday scale. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
