This knot is also known as the bank robbers knot or the getaway knot or simply a quick release knot.

Uses: Amaze young kids with the knots ability to explode into nothing. It has limited use as a functional knot due to its tendency to capsize under load.

Advantages: Easy to tie.

Disadvantages: The knot can capsize making the quick release inoperable.
