How to Charge Lithium Ion 18650 Battery with Just a Smart Phone Charger

This video was made for demonstration purposes only and this method is not intended to replace a CC/CV power source. However I hope it gets you thinking outside the "smart charger" market and helps you save some of your hard earned cash. Remember that is the voltage your applying is from a stable power source and not more than the 4.2V max voltage, you have a CV supply! If the current is less than the cells maximum charging rate, you can check the CC box too. As long as the power source is stable and your willing to watch and monitor the charging in progress, you can make almost anything work. If you attempt to replicate this experiment, you do so at your own risk and need to make sure you stay close enough to the cell being tested to routinely monitor the voltage of the cell to ensure it does not go over voltage.
