One of the things that I've learned over the years for goal setting is I don't create a plan for everything.

Backward Planning: Start with your goal in mind, and work your way to the beginning.
- Create a detailed step-by-step plan of what to do.
- Problem: What do you do if something goes wrong?

Here's what I do:
1) I write down my goal.
2) Plan the next 2-3 or 3-5 steps.
3) Take action and complete these steps.
4) Then I add more steps.

Here is an example of my goal of buying a resort in Mexico.
OVERVIEW:
- 3xs per year I meet with my private Mastermind members
- We've met in the Cayman Islands, Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and other locations in the past.
- Right now, the travel/hospitality industry is hurt due to the pandemic, so there may be an opportunity to buy a hotel/resort for $0.60-0.70 on the dollar.
- This would be a possible 50% ROI w/in 1-2 years.

TODOS:
- Get an idea of how much capital is needed.
- Is this possible at all?
- What's the best location?
* Mexico?
* Puerto Rico?
* Belize?
* The Dominican Republic?
- Find someone with experience running a resort
* Find someone to validate my numbers.
- What financing options are available?
- Run the numbers.
- Visit possible locations and properties

WHAT I KNOW:
- Is it possible to make money with this? My past experience with real estate tells me yes.
* I bought an apt complex w/ 48 units for $2.3M
* Made $30,000 in rent a month.
* $30,000 / 30 days = $1K a day.
* Can I make $1K per day IN REVENUE w/ 25 rooms? It sounds like it's possible.

How long did it take me to get to this point with buying the resort up to this point? 4-5 hours.

Stick to a plan that is really simple.

Buying a $10MM Apartment Complex:
- $7MM in financing.
- $2MM raise money.
- $1MM own money.
- Goal: Sell this for $15MM in 3-5 years
* $7MM back to the bank.
* $2MM back to investors.
* $1MM back to me.
* $5MM profits that can be divided amongst investors and me.
- $2MM to me based on the $1MM I invested.

Cryptocurrencies:
I'm a TRADER and not an investor. My investments are in real estate, and my style is short term swing trading.

This is why I don't own investments in gold, silver, or crypto. However, in 2021, there could be some 10x opportunities w/in 1-3 years.

TODOS:
- Find who can help me, not "how to do this," as this would take too long. (did this)
- Start investing $5K/month in crypto with "10x opportunities"
