Reef Pi & Kasa Smart Home Wi-Fi Power Strips for Reef Tanks
One of the big pains with setting up my Reef Pi was drilling out the sort of weirdly shaped DB9 connector for the American DJ Power Strip. It's not round, so you can't just drill a hole like you can for every other connection - enter the Kasa Smart Wi-Fi Power Strip which can be set up to be totally wireless making your Reef-Pi all that cleaner.
The HS300 has six outlets, and you can set up more than one of them, so it should be useful for even the largest reef tanks (or terrariums, as I use my Reef-Pi for). Each outlet has a nice relay built into it, so you can control even low voltage items on any outlet. The Reef-Pi communicates using your home wifi network, pinging the outlets each time one should turn on or off. The HS300 connected to my 2.4Ghz Wifi network very easily - none of the issues some devices have with seeing my 5Ghz Wifi network and getting confused since they can't use it. The setup was very simple, including getting it integrated with the reefpi.
There are maybe a few things that you probably have on your SPS coral reeftank that maaaaybe are not the best for this type of solution. As the reef-pi needs to ping each time to turn an outlet on or off, it relies on the quality of your home wifi network - if the network is down the outlet is locked in whatever state it's already in. I'd be careful maybe with dosing pumps or that sort of thing.
Check out the HS300 outlet on Tp-Link's website for the Kasa Smart line of products. They make really sleek solutions as power strips for your aquarium or terrarium (or orchidarium or vivarium) controller.

Check out the Reef-Pi project if you haven't already, it's a pretty cool open source aquarium controller that runs on most any Raspberry Pi.
