Jackals hunting topi calf meet the father
Jackals are opportunistic animals and will often hunt young antelope calves at any given opportunity and are usually successful at it. When they do manage to kill the calf they usually have to eat in a hurry in fear of other predators who usually take the kill from them. In this situation though they weren't able to get to the calf due to the overprotective topi father who will guard his herd against such threats.
