BREAKING: EU airspace shut down to Russian planes

The European Union is banning Russian planes from EU airspace and banning some Russian media from the bloc.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said the ban on Russian airplanes would apply to all aircraft, including private jets.

The TV stations Russia Today and Sputnik, both seen as propaganda arms of the Kremlin, are also being banned in EU countries.
