Climate, Health & Equity: Toward a Sustainable Future

Climate change is actively harming human health — and the more we understand the harms, the better we can confront them.

On May 8, the Harvard Chan School will bring together scientists, policy makers, and activists to examine climate-driven threats to public health, including the spread of infectious diseases, the rise of food insecurity, and the surge in forced migration. The symposium will also put a rigorous focus on solutions.

Speakers include EPA Deputy Administrator Janet McCabe, Massachusetts Climate Chief Melissa Hoffer, and activist Heather McTeer Toney, vice president for community engagement at the Environmental Defense Fund, as well as numerous faculty from Harvard Chan School and Harvard Medical School. We will livestream the event for those who can’t attend in person in Boston. Full agenda is here: https://hsph.me/ClimateSummit
