Government minister says vaccines will not be needed to go to football matches or restaurants
Foreign Office minister James Cleverly tells Julia it will not be government policy for a coronavirus vaccine "to be your ticket to a football match or restaurant booking" and would work with the private sector to ensure "they understand that fully."
Mr Cleverly said the government position is that a vaccine for coronavirus “is a really important vaccine” and they would encourage “everybody to take it”, telling Julia Hartley-Brewer he planned to take the vaccine along with his father.
He also tells Julia negotiations with the EU are going "to the wire" because the government is making sure they "protect the interests of British people."
