It's 3:20am and the outside air contains the subtle aroma of the fall season. The yoga mat beckons from the floor and I'm eagerly awaiting the peace and sanctitude of my lover, Hatha Yoga.

But first, let's get a dose of description prescription for this video's verbal depiction.

This video is... different. Isn't it?

But not like the one with Matthew and Kevin.

For all those who tune in to shut down, we'll be back next week with another tranquil ASMR session.

But this video felt like it needed the dialogue.

As time progresses, more and more people seek out care at my office after watching these videos. It's one of the most amazing unintended consequences of this process.

But just this week someone walked out of the adjustment room with a big smile and a neck that didn't hurt for the first time in weeks and she said "that was amazing but I imagined it was going to be quieter."

Everyone laughed.

But rightly so...

This was never about standing in front of the camera and "getting my name out there" or "educating people about chiropractic."

I just wanted to make relaxing crack videos to help people fall asleep.

Sometimes a session can be peaceful and quiet. Sometimes it's filled with banter. It's all about what is showing up in the room at the moment.

But I'm always editing the videos to have less dialogue.

When it became apparent that there was a large audience of people who were learning about the chiropractic profession, the human body, and the techniques applied to assist in pain relief and optimal human function, that's when I started to add subtitles.

I've got intentions to produce a few more videos with subtitles. As the sub count gets higher there are some people out there who haven't been through seasons 1-6 where I meticulously explain all the details of "my technique."

Which is really a blend of about 10 chiro techniques, a few energy modalities, and a couple of eastern esoteric practices...

You've seen the pulse reading which hails from 2 ancient medicine systems. But some of the things that you can not see...

1) The praying that occurs inside my head as I'm tuning into the spine with my hands during the meningeal stretch.

2) The activation of my bandhas during cervical traction.

3) The intention held in my attention as I enter into the bio-electro-magnetic morphogenic field that surrounds a living being. Sure, we can call it their aura.

Considering this, it really shouldn't be a surprise that I sometimes forget to change the face paper from crinkles to anti-crinkles.

So in this video, there's more talking ... and some really weird beard trimming...

I was inspired by the man-scapper commercials to seek out a new beard trimmer. I didn't want the mainstream commercialized one so I went into amazon, found one that was aesthetically more pleasing, and during the first run... it crapped out... and my old faithful wasn't charged. And the result was seen here...small patches of hair under my chin that make it look like I have alopecia areata.

....

So... like the disappointment I faced in the moments of a new razor malfunction... I can tell when my writing spirit is on break... or whatever channel that gets opened when I sit in front of a blank screen, unleashing a barrage of mentally stimulating, grammatical rule-breaking, imagination elation editorial sensations... is closed.

Or at least was until that last sentence.

I see the light... it's opening... something on my shoulder has tuned in and is asking me...

"are we doing this, or what?"
