Shrek is an ogre who listens to Smash Mouth. All the fairy tales chill in his swamp because this lil guy evicted them. Shrek goes to rescue a princess to get his swamp back, but he falls in love in her – her name’s Fiona, by the way. She’s also an ogre, that comes out at her wedding but inner beauty, beholder, whatever. Shrek and Fiona get married and Shrek’s Donkey falls in love with a dragon. What’s her name? Good question

Shrek meets Fiona’s parents, but they don’t approve of ogre love. Shrek doesn’t understand linear time and is threatened by kid Fiona’s diary saying she had a crush on some chad. This cat tries to kill Shrek and Donkey, but he gets his own franchise instead. Shronkey get hot by drinking get hot potion. Well, hot by 2004 CG movie standards. Shrek and Fiona decide that’s not necessary and they turn back into big sexy ogres. Fiona’s dad is a frog now and Donkey has kids with the dragon how did that work

Fiona’s dad is dying and Shrek doesn’t want to be king. It’s cool, the king’s nephew, Justin Timberlake can be king instead. Shronkey go get him, but Donkey and Puss scare him out of it. The chad tracks them down, tries to ruin everything, but eventually Justin becomes king. Also, Fiona was pregnant this whole time and now they have three kids. Everyone finally has their happily ever afte-

Shrek hates his life now. Rumpelstiltskin asks Shrek if he’s ever seen It’s a Wonderful Life. Before he can answer, he’s smacked to a timeline where Shrek never existed. Rumpel is king and tells Shrek he won’t exist after today unless true love’s kiss blah blah. Shronkey reunite and meet everyone. Fiona’s a resistance fighter and a whole-ass uprising happens. Shrek and Fiona kiss after some botched attempts and it works just in time, status quo restored and if I had a nickel for every time a Shrek movie ended with a dance party set to a cover of I’m a Believer, I would have two nickels, which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice

How am I supposed to make a clean loop, here? There’s no organic way for me to work in the phrase-
