Israel accused of targeted killing of civilians in West Bank| BBC News

Four brothers killed earlier this month by an Israeli air strike in the occupied West Bank were Palestinian civilians who posed no threat to Israeli forces, witnesses have told the BBC.

Violence in the West Bank has been rising since the war began in Gaza. The United Nations says more than 300 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank by the Israeli army since the Hamas attacks on Israel three months ago.

The killing of the four brothers happened hours after a 19-year-old Israeli army officer during clashes with Palestinian groups in the West Bank city of Jenin.

Reeta Chakrabarti presents BBC News at Ten reporting by Lucy Williamson.
