Southern Anhui Series | Episode 8: Landscape Gallery
The Xin'an River, running through the southern part of central China's Anhui Province, is the mother river of Huizhou people and a crucial passage for ancient Anhui merchants. It connects Anhui with nearby cities. The Landscape Gallery Scenic Spot is over 100 kilometers long. Meandering through majestic mountains and ancient buildings, the river resembles a flowing scroll painting. The local people, taking advantage of the geological conditions, have built ancient houses with their own characteristics and have been developing the local economy through industries such as tea. At the same time, they value ecological protection, and are exploring a path with human-nature harmony.
