In 1947, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute was founded as the Children's Cancer Research Foundation by Sidney Farber, MD. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our staff and faculty, the tremendous trust of our patients and families, and the support of the community, we are celebrating 75 years of Dr. Farber’s legacy of groundbreaking research and exceptional care.

Seventy-five years since its founding, Dana-Farber is now a global leader, equally focused on world-class cancer care and groundbreaking research, with discoveries that have significantly impacted the lives, and improved outcomes for patients with cancer around the world. Today, we continue to work to fulfill Dr. Farber’s legacy and our vision of a world free of the fear and burden of cancer.
