Du Quoin, IL Morning Street Flood - 8/3/2016

For the second time this week, strong morning storms rolled across southern IL packing quite a punch in terms of heavy rain and flooding. This complex of storms prompted FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS for portions of southern IL as they moved through, some dumping as much as nearly 3-inches in places. Several communities in the region experienced flooding to some degree with these storms. This coming on the heels of a heavy rain event Monday which followed up one of the wettest Julys in nearly two decades.
