Storm | Marthe Knutsen | TEDxStavanger
A Poet writes her mind and expresses her Soul. Marthe believes in changing the world by changing our minds. Only then will we be able to demand political will. Marthe Knutsen is a 20-year-old writer, debater and journalist, with passion for ecological diversity and reuse.
Growing up on the coast of Karmøy's mainland; she has seen how powerful nature can be. The hard weather and international conditions inspired her to write the poem "Storm". Marthe believes in changing the world by changing our minds. Only then will we be able to demand political will.
Through politics, Marthe has fought for Norway to achieve net zero emission since she was sixteen. As a 17-year-old, she became vice president for Rogaland in Norway's largest political youth parties. The same year, Marthe was a participant in the United Nations youth conference within Global Development in New York.
Right now she is studying a bachelor in International Development Studies and works as a journalist for Dagsavisen in Oslo. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
