Fight for NY is an action video game featuring hip-hop elements. This version of the game offers expanded gameplay over the original, which was mostly a wrestling game. Fighters can select up to three fighting styles from five options. Further, Def Jam Fight for NY emphasizes the game's different environments and crowds to cause damage. Fighters who throw their opponents against barriers can slam them into walls headfirst or ram their face into a door or gate by slamming them against barriers.
