Do not put the cartridges in the printer when priming them. Remove the round plug on top of the cartridge and insert the tip of the syringe into the hole. Draw back on the plunger and hold it. Ink will be drawn from the in bottle through the hose and fill the cartridge. When ink comes into the syringe you can stop holding the plunger. Remove the syringe tip and place the plug back in.
