Liberal arts degrees tend to have a bad reputation when it comes to being worth it when you have to go on average nearly $40k in student loan debt in order to get a college degree. Many that graduate with liberal arts degrees end up not working in their field of study, sometimes jobless, sometimes working multiple part time jobs near minimum wage, or going back to grad school to pursue expensive graduate level degrees.
