Antique Grinding Mill Restoration - Richmond and Chandler

In this video I will be restoring an antique mill made by Richmond and Chandler and sold by Army and Navy Auxiliary co op ltd (currently known as House of Fraser).
I found this restoration on eBay for £25, I have always wanted to restore a mill. Once I found this I knew I couldn’t let it go. An added benefit was the size. Most of the mills I had previously seen were rather large. Due to my lack of space I couldn’t purchase them. After keeping this in my garden for a few months I has to begin restoring it. I couldn’t stand seeing more rust forming on such an old piece.
Although the restoration was laborious it was rather simple. Sandblasting all the parts definitely took the most time. But when it came time to paint I found it rather enjoyable. Choosing the right colours was a job in itself. By looking at the parts I could clearly see most of it was painted blue. However I couldn’t bring myself to use just one colour. I had recently stumbled across paragon paint, since they had such a good choice of colours I decided to purchase from them.

I hope you like the restoration and subscribe for more.
Thanks for watching.
