Kindle Paperwhite (7th Gen) Review

Originally recorded May 1, 2020.

This is a review of my Amazon Kindle Paperwhite. This is an older model, the 7th Generation, but it does most things the latest model does, albeit with less storage. But that's not really a problem since the books are stored on the cloud, and only active books you're reading are downloaded to the device.

The e-ink display is extremely clear in bright sunlight and has almost no glare at all, and is 300ppi. A comparable LCD display would not be very visible at all in bright sunlight. Another benefit of the e-ink display is very low power consumption, so the battery can last about a full month before needing to be recharged. The display is backlit, and the brightness is adjustable to your liking, and will not bother your partner in bed. The display is touch-sensitive, like most smartphones and tablets these days.

Perhaps this video will be of use to people out there looking to buy one of these secondhand.
