On Humor: Jules Feiffer, Al Franken, and Ellen Goodman in conversation with Roger Rosenblatt

American essayist Roger Rosenblatt moderates a panel discussion about humor. Panelists include Ellen Goodman, Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist and associate editor at The Boston Globe; Al Franken, former writer and producer for Saturday Night Live; and Jules Feiffer, Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist and satirist. Goodman, Franken, and Feiffer discuss how they came to comedy, who they personally find funny, and how comedy has changed over their lifetimes. They also comment on current events including the upcoming presidential election and the ongoing Republican primary battle between George W. Bush and John McCain. The discussion is followed with questions from the audience.
