Shoulder pulley to improve shoulder stiffness

Shoulder pulley exercises are suitable for stiff shoulders including after surgery or with frozen shoulder.

1. Set the pulley system up so the pulley is overhead.
2. Standing facing the pulley.
3. Hold one pulley handle in each hand.
3. Ensure that the arm you are training is relaxed and not doing more than holding onto the pulley handle. The movement is performed using the other hands strength
4. Pull down on the opposite hand so that it will pull and elevate the training arm.
5. Raise until you feel a comfortable stretch or until your flexibiltiy allows..
6. Lower the arm to the starting position to complete the repetition.

Repeat the exercise for 5 sets of 10 or as your therapist advises.
