Simon Sinek on Turning Confidence into Courage and Grit

In Chapter 11 of 20 in his 2015 Capture Your Flag interview, bestselling author and inspirational speaker Simon Sinek answers "What role does confidence play in the work that you do? Sinek notes that when you believe in your own cause or find others that believe in your cause, you gain confidence. With this faith in one's ability to do something, Sinek finds that courage - the willingness to act or proceed inspite of fear - does not come within, rather from those around you. And that courageous confidence, when put to work enabling grit (fortitude) - will be less about one-time mustering courage and more intense, lasting, and transferable. He sees this most when you are working with others with shared beliefs and are committed to a common cause. Simon Sinek is an author of multiple best selling books "Start With Why", "Leaders Eat Last", "Together is Better", and "Find Your Why". His next book is titled "The Infinite Game". In addition to writing, Sinek is an acclaimed public speaker and an adjunct professor at Columbia University.
