Medicine Walk with Elder Walter Lavallee
This video was filmed during the spring of 2009 on Piapot First Nation in Saskatchewan, Canada. Elder Walter Lavallee is Cree from the Piapot First Nation, Saskatchewan.
The video was realized by the First Nations University of Canada under the supervision of Dr. Carrie Bourassa and Dr. Fidji Gendron. The video shows different plants, how to recognize them, and how they are used by First Nations and Métis people. Plants collected during this walk are now on display in the Medicine Room at the First Nations University of Canada.
