In my latest video breakdown, I wanted to analyze Lamar Jackson's perfect game against Miami. Yes, it's the Dolphins, but this game was way better than I would have ever expected after analyzing his film from last season. Using PFF's and NextGen Tracking Data, Jackson was one of the LEAST accurate quarterbacks in 2018 and he is already off to a head start this season creating a +24.8% above expected completion rate in this game. Again, we all agree it's the Dolphins and they are pretty terrible, but the IMPROVEMENT is why I am excited about Jackson in this game. That's your takeaway. Gawk at the numbers, sure, but remember: Improvement in his base footwork is, what I believe, the reason why he's already looking much improved because it's helping him create a much more repetitive throwing motion.
