Professor David Hopkins presents a new overview of the style and iconography of Salvador Dalí’s “Christ of Saint John of the Cross” of 1951.

This recording is based on the plenary lecture delivered at the symposium “Hispanic Art in British Collections”, The Spanish Gallery, Bishop Auckland, 21 Sept. 2022, organised by the Zurbarán Centre with support from the Spanish Embassy.

David Hopkins is Professor Emeritus and Professorial Research Fellow in Art History at the University of Glasgow, UK.
