Dynamo started the match with a very aggressive serve, pushing the guests away from the net as much as possible and forcing them to act on high balls. In principle, with Mohamed Al Khachdadi and Zhang Jingyin in the squad, who can play these highest balls, Belogorie coped with the attack. But the serve did not fly, they made a lot of mistakes in this element, and there were inaccuracies in the attack too. Nevertheless, one glimpse from Zhang was enough for the guests to equalize the score and take the lead (18:16), but the sosnovobortsy very quickly put together a consistent response in the form of whole series from Konstantin Tyushkevich and Marko Ivovich. A block by Fannur Kayumov to Pavel Tetyukhin, a pair of beautiful attacks from two Denisovs – Biryukov and Shenkel, and a game in the pocket of the hosts – 25:21.
In the second set, the Belgorod team was more attentive to the completion of attacks, and the Dynamo team slightly slowed down on serve. Schenkel and Biryukov were responsible for scoring points, Khachdadi and Zhang were habitually plowing at Belogorie, and both teams were looking for happiness in working defensively, on the block and serve. The guests were ahead, but the Dynamo players breathed hotly in the back with the aces of Kayumov and Biryukov, suggesting nevertheless not to relax and not feel at ease in someone else's territory. The hosts failed to save the game – Alexander Volkov called on Ivan Podrebinkin to "solve the questions" from the square for the substitutes, and he "solved" by serving.
The third set was a benefit of Tyushkevich's serves, the Dynamo-LO team block (where Kayumov, who was overemotional that day, acted as the flagship) and high-quality protection performed by Ivovich and Vladimir Shishkin, who held the reception and held it very well. Belgorod residents again did not offer unsolvable tasks on the pitch, which was competently used by the Sosnovobortsy. But in the fourth set, unfortunately for Dynamo-LO, several missed opportunities inspired additional confidence in the already undaunted guests. The key story of the game was Zhang's serve (15:10), and Dynamo could not win back this gap. At some point, Alexander Klimkin sent Denis Biryukov and Konstantin Tyushkevich to rest, realizing that it would not be possible to avoid the fifth set.
The fifth games have become familiar to Belogorie this season. The guests immediately earned a break ball, scoring on the block (3:1), Kayumov equalized with two aces, returning the teams to their original positions (4:4). Before the sides changed sides, the rivals exchanged shots – Zhang managed to get the first break ball thanks to the defense (8:7). Then Roman Poroshin succeeded in collective blocking, and the captain was entrusted with completing the decisive two draws – Tetyukhin was accurate twice in a row. 3:2 – the tenth consecutive victory of Belogorie and the fifth consecutive defeat of Dynamo-LO.
