What 48" Led , retrofit, replacement bulb do I need , Things to know before buying , and a Warning

CONFUSED ABOUT DIFFERENT TYPES OF LINEAR LED TUBES? Selecting the right Led tube retrofit replacement ,There are many Types , Things you need to know , and Dangers .Not all tube led bulbs will work in all fixtures. How do i know what Ballast i have. 48 inch led bulb , Direct wire- Ballast Bypass = single ended bulb or double ended bulb . Single end direct wire MUST have non shunted tombstones.Double ended usually can use Shunted or NON Shunted. Mark the fixture so everyone knows not to put anything else in the fixture ... Next is PLUG and PLAY , need to know Electronic Ballast or Magnetic Ballast. also need to know if Rapid Start , Instant Start Are prob most common . Some bulbs say what they work with , if not on the box , look the bulb up on internet to see . That will insure the bulb you pick will work with your fixture. Then there is HYBRID . Type C not covered here.
They can be put in a fixture that is direct wired for single ended bulb or double ended bulb , Also can be put in a fixture with Electronic Ballast , and if you put them in a fixture with a ballast and ballast goes bad , or have a magnetic ballast , Then just remove ballast , Direct wire and keep using the bulb . A warning , if wiring direct wire - ballast bypass fixture , put a warning on fixture so others will know what bulb to use so they do not get hurt.
