How important is it to read market sentiment towards stocks? Francis Hunt a technical analysis trader and coach comments.Would you buy shares into a company whose shares are seriously under pressure? Shares under pressure could mean simply that they've become unpopular and that's a sentiment element. Is it a good idea to hold good stocks even if the overall market is overvalued? I trade technically so if its shows in my setup I'll still consider it. For a savings and investments view I would not chase such companies with extended P/E. You can't always universally say; some of them are really great companies. What are your thoughts about shorting companies where the shares are in a falling trend?
