How to Replace Rear Door / Tailgate Handle Button - Toyota Sienna (2004 & newer)

The rear door handle button on Toyota Sienna minivans can become worn out, or in some cases melt / break and get sticky.

My 2008 Sienna uses door switch assembly part number: 84840-08010. Call the dealer to find out the part number and see if you can get it on Amazon for much less!

This video shows how to replace it. There are no special tools required, only a socket set and screwdriver. This is not the metal handle on older Sienna's, it's the rubberized electronic latch release button on newer models (2004-2010). It may also work on the 2011 and beyond version.
