Mallika Chopra at TEDxBerkeley
Mallika Chopra is a mom, media entrepreneur, published author, and a notable voice in the fields of parenting, meditation, the power of intention and how social media can be used for personal, social and global wellbeing. She is the founder of Intent.com -- an online destination for turning your intentions into tangible actions, and inspiring others to do the same. She also launched The Chopra Well, a premiere YouTube channel with her father, Deepak Chopra, and brother, Gotham Chopra, in the summer of 2012. Mallika's intent is to harness the power of social media to connect people from around the world to improve their own lives, their communities and the planet.
Mallika is the author of 100 Promises To My Baby and 100 Questions from My Child. Her many experiences include re-launching MTV in India in the 1990's, as well as launching Michael Jackson's Heal The World Foundation. Mallika blogs regularly on Intentblog.com, and has been featured in Fast Company, Inc.com, LA Times, W Magazine, Huffington Post and many other media publications. She is a graduate of Brown University and has an MBA from Kellogg Graduate School.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
