Restoring a Large Meat Cleaver

In this video I restore a massive Beatty Hog Splitter. It is essentially a giant cleaver that was used back when butchers did not have electric saws and all of that fancy stuff. These were used to split animal carcasses down the spine into two halves. I really enjoyed restoring/ modifying this beast because you don't see this kind of stuff very often especially on the west coast. I used gel wipe on Evaporust in order to soften up the surface rust and then used a coarse wire wheel to easily take off the softened rust.
