Major Dr.Surendra Poonia is an international award winning sportsman, Limca book record holder,
physician, former Special Forces Officer of Indian Army, paratrooper and a medical professional. He is
the first Indian athlete to win gold medals in power lifting events in four consecutive world
championships and has also been awarded as the 'Most entertaining sportsman of the year' in 2013. He
has also served as the bodyguard of two former Presidents of India. He also became the first Indian
Doctor to win 15 medals in any international championship.
