The JUSTIFIED Execution Of Hitler's Female SOVIET Executioner

Following the Second World War, a manhunt was launched for an infamous executioner who took the lives of around 1500 people in brutal fashion. The KGB hunted for 'Tonya the Machine Gun Girl,' a Soviet woman who during World War 2 had defected over to the side of the Nazis and Germans. She then was employed as an executioner, being given a Maxim machine gun to then kill scores of people in huge executions. However, it wasn't until 30 years after the conflict that the true identity of this Soviet traitor was discovered.

Antonina Makarova first began service in the Red Army as a nurse, helping the wounded who came from the battlefield during World War 2. However after being cut off, she became linked with the Kaminski Brigade or the RONA, a group of Soviet citizens who fought for the Germans. This collection of soldiers was known for being brutal, and they were responsible for horrific war crimes. Antonina was enlisted in the group as an executioner and she would kill scores of arrested partisans and civilians with her machine gun. Prisoners in groups of 27 were led out of the prison, in front of Makarova and her machine gun, and then she would execute them in barbaric fashion very quickly.

After the war she escaped justice for decades, and it was by chance that the KGB finally caught up with her. She was living with her husband who had no idea what she had done during World War 2, and was then taken back to Russia to face trial. She was sentenced to death for being the traitor and executioner, and she was met her end facing a firing squad.
