Dead Man's Pier: Winter's Wake Halloween Horror Nights Virtual Reality

You’re Dead in the Water! In a New England fishing village, undead fishermen emerge from the waves to seek their revenge. You and your scream squad may have escaped their hooks in the scare zone. Now they’ll reel you in and drag you under.

There’s nothing charming about this ghostly New England fishing village. A phantom sea captain is summoning undead fishermen from their watery grave, a grisly crew with rotting, barnacle-encrusted bodies.

The queue entered to the left of the Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store. The line would follow a road to the right of the Fiesta de Chupacabras line where it would take a right into a series of loops. After the loops guests continued down the road and take a left to go across the back wall of Soundstage 24. After a couple of more loops, guests entered the soundstage from the back.

Guests entered the soundstage and were greeted with the snowy town square of a New England fishing village. Guests would pass by a statue of a woman playing the violin and would see a lighthouse shining in the near distance. Rain and wind would blow towards guests, and lightning would flash in the background as the faint sounds of a violin playing could be heard. Guests would enter the Captain's Widow Bar and into the house.

Inside the Captain's Widow Bar, guests would come across a Ghostly Sea Captain standing behind the bar counter who would talk to them as they walked by. They would walk past a window with snow falling outside and out the back door of the bar and into the alleyway outside, where they were immediately attacked by an Undead Fisherman with a hook for a hand on the right. Guests would walk around the lighthouse that was visible from the facade and would be attacked by another Fisherman coming out of the frosted window of a shop.

Guests would soon find themselves in between a barnacle-encrusted boat and another building. Water splashed on them as they continued through. Guests would be able to see an old man standing still above them on a platform, before an Undead Fisherman jumped out from behind the building on the right. They would come across a poster advertising seafood with a fisherman on it, which would become transparent and reveal an Undead Fisherman behind it. Going around the poster, guests would be attacked by the same fisherman on the other side. Guests would walk by some stairs next to a wooden wall and would be able to see a boathouse in the distance.

Entering a store, guests would find a dead body in front of them with its head impaled on a hook. An Undead Fisherman would then slam open the door next to him on the right, while another would scare guests from behind. They would pass by the owner's desk, where they would be able to see a snowy scene outside a nearby window. Going back outside, guests would find themselves outside another wooden building, where another Fisherman would attack guests outside on the left.

Guests would enter the building and would be greeted with many wooden boxes and nets. A Deep Sea Diver would jump out at guests on the right while another Fisherman would jump out at them on the left. Guests would be attacked by another Diver on the right before exiting the building. Guests would be able to see the bow of a boat in the distance with a Ghostly Siren standing on top of it playing the violin and screaming as guests walked by. They would be attacked by another Undead Fisherman as they made their way up a series of ramps with cloths surrounding them. The lighthouse from earlier could be seen shining its rotating light on them. They would find themselves at the entrance to the boathouse from earlier, but not before two Fisherman attack them from behind cloths on either side.

Entering the boathouse, guests would find a body hanged above a rowboat in some water. A Fisherman could be seen pacing back and forth behind the boat, which would serve as a distraction as guests would be attacked from behind by another Fisherman. After that, guests would walk along the pier, where they would see a giant half sunken ship submerged in the water and crashed into a wooden ship. The Siren from earlier could still be seen on the bow playing her violin. Guests could also see a canoe in the water with a bisected scuba diver in it.

Next, guests would enter the boat through the side. Guests would see water bubbling from the outside of portholes, and guests would walk deeper into the ship, stepping on a creaky panel before becoming submerged themselves. Before entering the finale, guests would be attacked by another Fisherman on the left. The final scene took place underwater in the hull of the ship, where one of the crewmembers of the ship could be seen swimming back and forth to the right of guests. This would be a distraction, as another Deep Sea Diver and a Fisherman would jump out at guests on the left. Guests would then exit the house.
