WORLDs MOST DANGEROUS AIRPORT - Lukla, Nepal

In 2010 the History Channel named LUKLA AIRPORT the most dangerous airport in the world for over 20 years and with another deadly crash this week this title continues to remain accurate unfortunately.

Some of the factors that make this airport so dangerous. It is located in the mountains at an altitude of almost 10,000 feet! The weather can change in minutes as our JustPlanes crew experienced and ended up stuck for an extra 24 hours.
Landings can only occur on runway 06 and because of the wall and mountain at the end of the runway go-arounds are highly unlikely to say the least, runway 24 is used for takeoffs and as you can see airplanes use nearly every inch of the runway. An aborted takeoff would have disastrous consequences.
