100 Year Old Brass Fan Restoration
Patented in 1921, this Polar Cub six inch desk fan manufactured by A.G. Gilbert. , has the solid brass fan that was only available the first few years of manufacture. They switched to a brass painted fan after a few years. The base is cast iron. The motor is almost identical to erector set motors, which were manufactured by the same company.
This restoration has some media blasting, welding, fabrication, CNC engraving, lacquering, and some electrical work.
