Every year Tim travels to the USA to attend the New York Toy Fair. While he is there, he is always on the look out for unusual examples of American currency. For example it is possible to buy uncut sheets of dollar bills (and presumably other denominations). Tim was intrigued by the fact that the serial numbers on these bills jump from note to the next by 25,000. His guess is that there are a lot of notes printed on one sheet, and they then stack the sheets pretty high before they cut them with a guillotine, and the end result is bundles of notes with sequential serial numbers.

Tim has also got a US$2 bill in his collection. It is genuine, although apparently quite rare - he has never been given one when he gets change from purchases in the USA.

He then shows a magician's trick or maybe more a joke where a dollar bill has had a number of careful cuts made in it which allows the note to be pulled out into an extended form, many times wider then the original note. As Tim says, this is a handy way of stretching your money, to make it go further!

We then see a 'Where's George' note. This is a genuine US$20 bill, but with a web site printed on one side. You are invited to visit the web site, enter the serial number on the note, and you can then discover all the places that this particular bank note has been, during its life. However when Tim brought one home to London and entered his postcode, the web site did not recognise it. Probably the site is only set up for the USA, since that is the only place you can actually spend the note in a shop.

Tim then explores currency shrinkage - if you dip a dollar bill into anhydrous ammonia, the note will shrink.

Then we see dollar bills that have been personalised. Tim visited a shop where they would take a picture of you, and created a picture that fits exactly over the picture of George Washington.
