VS Guitar Duo (Vadim Kolpakov - seven-string guitar and Sasha Kolpakov - six-string guitar) performed on February 3rd, 2018 on one of the famous annual festival - the Tosco Music Party in United States, at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center in Charlotte, NC. They performed their own interpretation and arrangement of the famous Romani (Gypsy) songs from Eastern Europe which they recorded on their new CD "Under Cover"

VS Guitar Duo consists of the famous Russian 7-string guitarist Vadim Kolpakov, a special guest artist of Madonna's world tour "Sticky & Sweet", and his nephew, Sasha Kolpakov, a young virtuoso guitarist.
This little family ensemble continues the tradition in the third generation of the Kolpakov Romani-Gypsy artistic dynasty.
The program of VS Guitar Duo combine music from different parts of the world, including Romany (Gypsy) music, American Jazz, Latin and Spanish Flamenco. Both have performed extensively in the US, Canada, Europe, Russia and Singapore.

In March 2017, the VS Guitar Duo released a debut album "Under Cover", which collected the best world hits in the own interpretation of musicians.

VADIM KOLPAKOV is a virtuoso Russian-Romany (Gypsy) seven-string guitarist, dancer, and vocalist. He has performed extensively in Russia and abroad, including at Carnegie Hall and the Kremlin. He has also participated in numerous musical projects on Russian, European, and American television and radio. Since the mid-1990s, he has been a member of the Russian-Romany group The Kolpakov Trio, and in 2004 he assembled his own group in the United States, Via Romen. His musical repertoire includes 19th-century Russian seven-string guitar, and Gypsy, classical, jazz, pop and world music. In 2008 and 2009, Vadim participated in Madonna’s “Sticky & Sweet” world tour as a part of The Kolpakov Trio.
SASHA KOLPAKOV is a virtuoso guitarist, a follower of the famous Romani (Gypsy) artistic dynasty, who gave the world several generations of professional musicians.
He is the owner of numerous awards as a virtuoso guitar player at national and international music competitions.
Sasha have been actively performing and competing both in Russia and abroad (Europe, Asia, USA). He performs with Via Romen US–based ensemble and in famous Ice show “Carmen” by Olympic Champion Ilya Averbukh. Similar to his uncle Vadim, Sasha represents Kremona Guitars. Repertoire of Sasha includes Romani (Gypsy) music, Latin American, Jazz and Spanish Flamenco.
