Bigfoot always turns feral after ~16min and attacks player. Before that its just roaming around map and looking for meat. This strategy tl;dw:
5:57 Trap bigfoot
7:30 Hunt him down and make as much damage as possible. Keep him near NW corner of the map
13:00 Move to glitched rocks and set up camp with traps etc. This attracts Bigfoot closer to player before 16min mark. He should do some scouting and maybe try get your meat.
16:19 Be pro
17:14 After 16-17min Bigfoot charges. Get into "cave" and stab to death.
