The NATO Science for Peace and Security (SPS) Programme: sixty years old, still growing strong!

On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the SPS Programme, we look back at its history and highlight its main achievements: In its early years the Programme focused on strengthening intra Alliance scientific networks.

Today, it is about strengthening security and promoting peace through joint practical cooperation between Allies and partners, mirroring NATO’s political agenda and focusing on key priority area such as cyber defence, counter-terrorism, hybrid warfare, resilience and capacity building with all NATO partners.
