Denver Morning Piano, Part 1a

This piece was improvised on a street piano in downtown Denver, Colorado. It's an excerpt from a longer piece, "Denver Morning Piano, Part 1", which you can download FOR FREE at my website: http://mertonpiano.com.

Each summer, the city of Denver places several public pianos on the streets. This particular piano is located at a busy corner, with several streams of cars, cyclists and pedestrians moving in each direction around it. I thought it would be an interesting place to film and record during morning rush hour, so I arrived early to capture the moment. The music was inspired by the ebb and flow of morning traffic around me as I was playing.
