Devon Harris was selected to the first Jamaican bobsled team which competed in the 1988 Olympic Games in Calgary, Canada where the team's much heralded exploits inspired the Disney blockbuster Cool Runnings. Devon also competed in, and was captain of, the Jamaica's 1992 and 1998 Winter Olympic Games Team.
In this uplifting and inspiring TEDx Jamaica Talk, Devon, born and grown in a tropical country, recounts his unlikely journey from one of Kingston's most violent inner city communities to his famous exploits at the Winter Olympic Games and the lessons learned along the way.
