'Don’t let the future just happen to you.' – How will a woman’s life change in 2035? What are we afraid of and how can we push beyond our limits? In her talk, Szilvia Varró, CEO of Aeffect Communications and Consulting
connects the past, the present, and the future. She explains why she abandoned journalism after two decades and a Pulitzer Memorial Prize and how her grandmother taught her to butcher a chicken. This talk was given on December 14, 2019. For 17 years, Szilvia Varró was an enthusiastic journalist who passionately sought after and discovered the causes of injustices and tried to understand how political stakeholders and societies work. After winning a Pulitzer Memorial Prize, she quit journalism and founded her own company. Since then Szilvia has been running her communications consultancy and has continued to learn about societies. Recently, she has been studying futurology and AI. In her talk, she connects the past, the present, and the future. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
