Fastest Production Car Nordschleife | Record Lap

This is the fastest production car on the Nürburgring Nordschleife! Driver Maro Engel lapped the 20.8 kilometres of the famous Green Hell with the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series in 6:48,047 minutes.

With its 730 hp engine the sportscar reached over 300 km/h. The ride was impressive when considering the general conditions. Engel set the record time at only seven degrees Celsius outside. In addition, some sections of the Nordschleife had not yet dried up completely.

As with all official lap records on world's most demanding race track, the time and the condition of the vehicle were notarised on site. The time was measured by independent experts.
