Realizing what life really is | Parth Upadhyaya | TEDxPaldi

Parth Upadhyaya talks about his journey, how he started mountain climbing, how it became his passion, how it led him to face death, and how he realized the meaning of life. On 23rd May 2019, Parth Upadhyaya became the youngest Mumbaikar to climb Mount Everest.
He started trekking at the age of 15. A graduate in Aircraft Maintenance, Parth chose to pursue his passion which was in the outdoors and mountains. He works as a trek leader and has led over 800 treks in the Sahyadri Mountain Ranges, Himalayas, South India and desert treks in Rajasthan.
He has also climbed several high peaks in the Himalayas making him one of the most promising upcoming mountaineers from India.
In March 2021, Parth attempted to climb Annapurna 1, the most dangerous peak in the world.
Parth aims to climb 14 mountains in the world which rise above 8,000 meters of altitude. All these peaks have been climbed by only 39 people in the world, and there is no Indian in this list.
