MERCEDES AMG GTR TAKES ON 700BHP AUDI RS6 - ROAD TEST

Welcome to the 888MF YouTube channel. I was recently given the keys to a gorgeous Mercedes AMG GTR for the afternoon. This car has had loads of attention in the press recently, so I wanted to test it myself. I also put it up against another German hero, the Audi RS6, and compare. However this RS6 has been tuned to 700bhp!! I hope you enjoy.

The Mercedes looks great, especially in black. The noise they have developed from the twin turbo engine is fantastic. It sounds like a naturally aspirated V8 and the downshifts are addictive. However if you're used to driving a Ferrari 488 or a McLaren 650S then the power delivery won't give you the same punch, but it does feel fast and intoxicating. I personally don't like the very long bonnet, although it does gives the car a lot of road presence. I would probably buy a McLaren 570GT for the same money.

The RS6 really surprised me. It was fun to drive, extremely fast and the 4WD gives you a lot of confidence to push the car harder than you would the Mercedes. It also represents great value for money given the performance. If you need 4 seats then it is a fantastic proposition.
