We have to remember that the organization you are going to volunteer at is not a day care center they are your responsibility and no one else's

Now your options may be limited when taking your children abroad due to the lack of the skills they can provide to an organization but you will be able to find some opportunities that are kid friendly it just may require a little bit more digging

Let me start by sharing from my own personal experience as of today's date I have volunteered in 9 countries and never once have requested a special visa for volunteering , . I always go in on a tourist visa and never mention the fact to the immigration that I will be spending my time volunteering

How do acquire a visa Sponsorship Letter
if you do want to request a sponsorship letter short term volunteering opportunity is out of the question and I would probably say nothing less than 6 months for the organization to even consider wanting to help you with the visa application process , now course every org is different this is just from my own experience

What to expect from an organization

When it comes to terms like food and Accommodation , I want to start by saying the reason we started Volunteer Abroad for free is to get away from these travel agents and organizations who are looking for paychecks and not volunteers , I completely disagree with the concept of having to pay to have the privilege to volunteer at the same time we should have reasonable request .
Getting A Response From back from the organization
So now you found the opportunity and they are not responding to your request , Well it is part of the adventure it is going to happen for one reason or another. This has happened to me countless times there are situations where I send 20 or so emails and get a response from just a handful of organizations and not only that when they do respond sometimes it won't be for weeks and in one case they literally took 2 months to get back to me

Like my mother says Patience is a Virtue and you definitely need to have patience
